“There is no moneys to take care of the migrants, nor is there moneys to take care of the people that are there. And so we have a mess on our hands,” Truss said Wednesday.

Truss argued Windy City residents are upset over low-income communities and schools being “divested in” while funds are used for the care of migrants instead.

Mitch McConnell Lobbies Republican Senators to Pass Secret Migration Bill

Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is quietly pressuring GOP senators to promise their support for his border bill before it is released to the public for debate.

In Bill C-47, the Canadian government seeks to obtain even more power over the natural products industry. This natural products industry includes supplement manufacturers and their suppliers and distributors, as well as herbal product developers who are making products that assist the body in healing itself. These products include vitamins and minerals, probiotics, amino acids, herbal remedies, homeopathic medicines and natural cosmetic products that don’t include synthetic chemicals.

The government has cracked down on the natural products industry in recent years (with Bill C-51 in 2008) and similar proposals that have been hard to enforce. The new bill would “strengthen the safety oversight of natural health products throughout their life cycle” and “promote greater confidence in the oversight of natural health products by increasing transparency.” Division 27 of Part 4 changes the Food and Drugs Act to increase regulations and fines for “therapeutic products.” Under the bill proposal, “natural health products” would now be considered “therapeutic products” and be subject to government controls that would limit access to the products.

Under the bill, NHPs will be treated like drugs, and in some cases, medical devices. Health Canada would gain newfound power to surveil the industry and impose fines up to $5 million for products that are suddenly deemed “unsafe.” Additionally, Health Canada would be able to recall products, dictate how the products can be labeled and marketed, and make business much harder for entrepreneurs who are looking to help people out. To make matters worse, Health Canada will also be allowed to charge NHP companies more to cover the government's newfound costs for regulating and surveilling them.

The Democratic Socialists of America are red all over — with a financial situation so dire that some leaders are demanding job cuts and the layoff of staffers just like a corporate America entity, The Post has learned.

The DSA — which has led protests against Israel over the Jewish state’s retaliatory response to Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attack — is deep in a seven-figure hole and desperately in need of a way to stanch the red ink, members acknowledge.

“We will cut $500,000 from staff-related expenses. We will first ask for volunteers from both director-level and bargaining unit staff to have their position cut and receive severance,” according to a proposal advanced by members of DSA’s National Political Committee affiliated with its Marxist Bread and Roses caucus.

“If necessary, we will then explore initiating lay-offs according to the DSA union’s contract,” the DSA officers said.

The situation appears to be a case of an organization that blindly seeks utopia and professes support of the working class clashing with reality — forcing it to have to balance a budget like the rest of America and even contemplate layoffs hated by labor unions.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Women and children are the main victims in the Israel-Hamas war, with some 16,000 killed and an estimated two mothers losing their lives every hour since Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel, the United Nations agency promoting gender equality said Friday.

As a result of the more than 100-day conflict, UN Women added, at least 3,000 women may have become widows and heads of households and at least 10,000 children may have lost their fathers.

In a report released Friday, the agency pointed to gender inequality and the burden on women fleeing the fighting with children and being displaced again and again. Of the territory’s 2.3 million population, it said, 1.9 million are displaced and “close to one million are women and girls” seeking shelter and safety.

UN: Palestinians are dying in hospitals as estimated 60,000 wounded overwhelm remaining doctors

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Palestinians are dying every day in Gaza’s overwhelmed remaining hospitals which can’t deal with the tens of thousands of people hurt in Israeli’s military offensive, a U.N. health emergency expert said Wednesday, while a doctor with the International Rescue Committee called the situation in Gaza’s hospitals the most extreme, she had ever seen.

The two health professionals, who recently left Gaza after weeks working in hospitals there, described overwhelmed doctors trying to save the lives of thousands of wounded people amid collapsing hospitals that have turned into impromptu refugee camps.

The World Health Organization’s Sean Casey, who left Gaza recently after five weeks of trying to get more staff and supplies to the territory’s 16 partially functioning hospitals, told a U.N. news conference that he saw “a really horrifying situation in the hospitals” as the health system collapsed day by day.

Al-Shifa Hospital, once Gaza’s leading hospital with 700 beds, has been reduced to treating only emergency trauma victims, and is filled with thousands of people who have fled their homes and are now living in operating rooms, corridors and stairs, he said.

A recent U.S. Supreme Court decision to review a case called Fischer v. United States, which experts say could weaken prosecutors’ hand in hundreds of Jan. 6 cases, including former President Donald Trump’s, is already upending some defendant cases and sentencing proceedings.

In December, the Supreme Court decided it would take up the appeal by Jan. 6 defendant Joseph W. Fisher of the Biden administration’s novel use of an Enron-era evidence-tampering law to prosecute hundreds of defendants for obstruction of Congress during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incident.

The obstruction of Congress charge—which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison—is the most widely charged felony in Jan. 6 cases, including against President Trump.

Mr. Fischer was indicted for various alleged offenses for his role in the Jan. 6 incident, including obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, violent entry, and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds—and obstruction of Congress based on 18 U.S. Code Section 1512(c)(2), or “Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant.”

This is an evidence-tampering provision that’s part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which experts say was conceived largely to curb wrongdoing on Wall Street—but is now used by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Jan. 6 cases.

The House Panel Giving Washington A Reality-Check on China

The secrecy made it look like they were “in a witness protection program because they were so concerned about retaliation from the CCP [Chinese Communist Party],” said Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.), who hosted the exercise in September 2023.

Former generals say Biden’s electric vehicle plan is putting national security at risk.

A group of 17 retired military officials sent a letter to President Joe Biden on Thursday, warning him that his electric vehicle plan was putting the United States’s national security at risk.

The group warned Biden and the Environmental Protection Agency that the administration’s current plan would make the U.S. more reliant on China because it would cause the U.S. to make changes to the transportation industry before the necessary infrastructure to support it was ready.

“Even more concerning is the fact that this reliance hinges upon China’s goodwill to export those minerals and manufactured goods to the U.S.,” the letter, which was obtained by Fox News, said.

“This will undoubtedly open the U.S. up to economic manipulations by China, identical to what Russia is doing with Ukrainian grain exports, and a major threat to our national security. We do not believe now is the time for us to make ourselves vulnerable to such easy political pressures,” it said.

Dalton Clark Stewart has been charged under the Forests Act for lighting a fire on private property without permission, failing to take reasonable efforts to stop the spread, and leaving the fire unattended. 

The Barrington Lake wildfire, which started May 27 2023, ultimately turned into Nova Scotia’s worst in recorded history, growing to 235 square kilometres (23,525 hectares), forcing 6000 people out of their homes, and burning 60 homes to the ground.

Three days after the fire broke out, then-Immigration Minister and now Housing Minister Sean Fraser, who’s from Nova Scotia, stood up in Parliament and blamed the huge wildfire on climate change, while criticizing the Conservatives for not taking the issue seriously enough.

According to county records reviewed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Fulton County paid Wade $654,000 in tax payers’ money since January 2022. The money appears to be what financed the couple’s lavish vacations. The white liberal Democrats are disturbed that Willis was so stupid as to damage her case against Trump by destroying her credibility and public perception of her integrity.

Fani’s defense is, of course, that the race card is being played against her as she and her lover are black. There are two ways you can look at her self-justification. One is that blacks have learned from Jews that a claim of victimhood is a shield against being held accountable. The other is that she has no comprehension of acceptable behavior for public officials.

Fourteen House Democrats have voted to condemn the Biden administration's "open-borders policies."

Fourteen House Democrats, along with all voting Republicans, passed a resolution introduced by Rep. Nathaniel Moran (R-TX) denouncing the Biden administration's "open-borders policies" amid a surge in migrant crossings and overwhelming of blue cities.

The resolution also condemned the "national security and public safety crisis along the southwest border" and urged President Joe Biden to end these policies. Among the Democrats who broke ranks were Reps. Rep. Golden stated, "Most of us understand that nations need borders, those borders should be secured, and we should enforce the immigration laws on the books. Most of us also understand that those seeking entry to our country deserve an orderly and predictable immigration process. Right now we have problems on both fronts." This bipartisan vote coincided with the start of impeachment hearings against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and a meeting between congressional leaders and President Biden at the White House to discuss a national security funding request for U.S. allies such as Ukraine and Israel, as well as border security negotiations in the Democrat-led Senate.

ABC News announced the cancellation of the next Republican debate after Nikki Haley backed out of the program unless former President Donald Trump agreed to participate. The only three candidates eligible to participate in ABC's debate were Trump, Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. "We've had five major debates this campaign," Haley said in a statement released while campaigning in New Hampshire. "Unfortunately, Donald Trump has blown them all away. He has no place left to hide. The next debate I do will be either with Donald Trump or with Joe Biden. I'm looking forward to it." Am."

Since 1967, Israel has imposed tight restrictions on travel and essential goods such as food, fuel, medicine, and water in its occupied territories. In 2007, those restrictions became even tighter in Gaza after Hamas seized power there. Since then, it has been nearly impossible for Palestinians to leave Gaza or to access an adequate supply of essential goods.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (TND) — Voters in Illinois are working to disqualify President Joe Biden from the state’s 2024 ballot, arguing he is ineligible to run for a second term, The State Journal-Register reported.

The basis for their complaint reportedly lies in Section 3 of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment, a clause that prohibits presidential candidates who have “given aid or comfort to the enemies.” Voters in the Prairie state say Biden has repeatedly violated this clause during his term in the White House, according to The State Journal-Register.

"Biden has given aid and comfort to enemies of the Constitution and the United States by, among other things, failing to enforce the laws of the United States, allowing entry of enemy agents illegally into the country including tens of thousands of military age men, and abandoning assets of the United States to the possession of our enemies," the objectors reportedly wrote in a filing.

"Our objection is to reinforce that We The People will not tolerate betrayal,” one reportedly added.

The key distinction between this case and a similar one aimed at keeping former President Donald Trump off state ballots lies in the difference in the oaths each gave, the objectors reportedly claim. During his presidency, Trump swore to "preserve, protect, and defend" the Constitution, whereas Biden repeatedly swore to “support” the Constitution as senator and vice president, the objectors reportedly argue.

Not Give Another Inch on Gun Rights

 In 1996 in the Tasmanian city of Port Arthur a man by the name of Martin Bryant killed 35 people using semi-automatic rifles in what would later be known as the Port Arthur Massacre.  This singular event was quickly used as a rationale for the banning of most firearms for Australian civilians, but the new regulations were not a product of Port Arthur.  Rather, anti-gun politicians had been pushing for restrictions and confiscation for many years prior; Port Arthur simply gave them enough public panic to get their legislation passed.

This is the modus operandi of the typical anti-gun lobby – Wait for a tragedy and then exploit it to punish all law-abiding citizens for the crimes of a handful of deranged people.  It doesn't make much sense unless you realize that gun control laws are not meant to thwart criminals, they are meant to thwart good people who might object to government trespasses.

The difference between Australia and America is, of course, that the right to arms and the right to self-defense are codified in the US Constitution.  There is no legal right to guns in Australia, it is treated as a privilege subject to the whims of authorities.  However, regardless of the laws of men or constitutional protections, self-defense is also a natural right.  Anyone trying to take it away is in violation of natural law.

Outside of the perfect timing of a Port Arthur scenario, most anti-gun measures are incremental as a means to trick good citizens into believing their rights are not being diminished.  Once these rights are sufficiently whittled down and the public has been conditioned to give ground to the government over time, the violations will never stop.  Give them an inch and they will take a mile.

They will argue that there's no need for civilians to have semi-automatic rifles, then they will come for the pistols, then they will come for the lever action rifles, the bolt action rifles, the shotguns, until there is nothing left.  Gun grabbers deny this agenda at every turn, but all we have to do is look at countries where gun rights have been cut down to see what the overall strategy is.  The end game is total confiscation.

In Australia, the few firearms that are allowed in civilian hands are being scrutinized once again.  This time around, pump action rifles that would be considered a joke or a novelty in the US are being portrayed as potential tools for mass shooters.  The Australian government has sought to squeeze the Port Arthur attack for every last drop of anti-gun sympathy, even though it happened almost 30 years ago.

Florida Democrat proposes removing Statue of Liberty in protest of Republican immigration policies

Florida Democratic Rep. Maxwell Frost proposed a bill to remove the Statue of Liberty in protest of what he called Republicans' "bigoted" immigration policies.

Frost proposed removing the iconic statue during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing Wednesday when he took aim at H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023, which passed the House in May.

"If you keep pushing your bigoted H.R. 2 bill, then also pass this bill. I’ve taken the liberty of drafting it for you," Frost said as he held up a piece of paper. "It removes the Statue of Liberty, our largest symbol that tells people to come here."

Texas grid operator ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) on Monday asked residents to conserve electricity use as temperatures fall below zero with the wind chill in some parts of the state.

The conservation alert comes one day after ERCOT issued a warning to Texas residents as the state braces for freezing rain, snow and subzero temps.

ERCOT manages electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers and represents 90% of the state’s electric load, according to the company.
