Comer vows to hold Christopher Wray in contempt as FBI won’t share Biden bribe tip.

WASHINGTON — House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said Tuesday he will move to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress after he again refused to share an informant file that allegedly implicates President Biden in a $5 million bribery scheme.

Comer (R-Ky.) set a final compliance deadline of Tuesday, which the FBI made clear it would not meet.

“Today, the FBI informed the Committee that it will not provide the unclassified documents subpoenaed by the Committee,” Comer said. “The FBI’s decision to stiff-arm Congress and hide this information from the American people is obstructionist and unacceptable.

“While I have a call scheduled with FBI Director Wray tomorrow to discuss his response further, the Committee has been clear in its intent to protect Congressional oversight authorities and will now be taking steps to hold the FBI Director in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a lawful subpoena,” Comer added.

The hit song urges listeners to continue to boycott the retail giant, which has already lost $10 billion in ten days amid outrage over Pride-themed clothing items for children.

The New York Post reports, “A week ago Wednesday, Target enjoyed its stock value at $160.96 a share, but following the calls to boycott the Minneapolis-based retailer over its ‘PRIDE’ collection, the value plummeted and closed Friday at $138.93 a share.”

“The more than 22% drop in value for the blue chip stock roughly translates to a $10.1 billion loss in valuation to just $64.2 billion for Target, which has nearly 2,000 stores nationwide,” the report continues. “The plummet stands as the retailer’s lowest stock price in nearly three years. The last time the company saw a drop nearly this big came in 2022 after the stocks equalized following an unprecedented surge during the COVID pandemic.”

Target recently pulled items from a company called Abprallen, which included “We Belong Everywhere” messenger bags, “Too Queer For Here” messenger bags, and “Cure Transphobia, Not Trans People” sweatshirts. The company is known to make pro-drug and pro-satan merchandise.

“All items were designed for all bodies, regardless of gender identity and presentation,” Target said in the description for the items. “We added design features to help make the fit customizable for you. Our hope is for all guests to find clothing that makes them feel comfortable and affirmed in their identity.

Race-swapping characters have been the subject of controversy before. While advocates argue that such moves improve representation in popular works of fiction, critics argue that they are not true to the source material.

The issue of race-swapping characters is part of a wider debate about whether characters of minority groups should be played by actors who are not of those minorities. Some say minority actors—who have historically been overlooked—should be given those parts to improve representation in the arts, while others say actors should be able to portray any character well.

"This is a lovely piece of artwork. And while I never imagined Aragorn as black, Tolkien might well have," Matt Thrower, a gaming writer, said, citing Tolkien's letter.

For the last, oh, I don’t know… forever… ranchers and farmers large and small have taken care of their livestock with antibiotics and antimicrobials that were available at farm stores. These medicines treat common illnesses and infections that people who own large animals and livestock are very familiar with and qualified to treat. They have been trusted to do so for as long as these medicines have been available. The first chicken antibiotics were introduced in 1948. Since then, there has been no call nor reason to regulate these items. Many farmers and ranchers tend to many of their animals’ veterinary needs, which is a part of being a responsible animal handler who needs to keep costs down.

It would be ridiculous to take a chicken to the vet. When chickens are sick, you consult with other chicken owners and go buy the needed items to make them well again. It was a good system.

But NOW, the unelected, unaccountable, faceless, nameless, power-hungry monarchs at the FDA have decided that none of our farmers, ranchers, or hobbyists will be allowed to have those medicines anymore without visiting the vet for a prescription. This will cost the farmers tens of thousands of dollars a year in added vet bills, which they will then pass onto the consumer, forcing prices even higher during a time of record inflation.

There was no debate in Congress, no federal law passed, no chance for a town hall or public debate, no reading of a bill, no commercials warning the public so they could stop this encroachment on liberty and sanity. We have been informed by federal decree that this is now our new reality.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released new antibiotic guidance pertaining to animal drugs containing medically important antimicrobials for use in companion and food production animals that are currently approved for over the counter (OTC) marketing.

Under the guidance, FDA stated several antibiotics familiar to ranchers and other livestock owners will no longer be available OTC.

The intent of the new antibiotic guidance is to ensure animal drugs that contain antimicrobials important for humans are not being overused or used incorrectly, said Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) Associate Director of Commodity and Regulatory Activities Tracy Tomascik.

 Target Loses $9B In Market Value Following BOYCOTTS Launched Against Its

Big-box retailer Target has lost $9 billion in market value as a result of boycotts over the launch of its LGBT “Pride” collection for children.

According to the New York Post, Target’s stock price closed at $160.96 per share on May 17 – amounting to a market capitalization of $74.3 billion. However, this dwindled to $141.76 from the early trading hours of May 25. This drop in share price amounted to a $9 billion loss that dropped Target’s market capitalization to $65.3 billion.

Breitbart reported on May 12 that Target’s Pride line catered to Americans of all ages. Some shirts part of the collection have messages such as “Busy Thinking About Girls,” “Queer Queer Queer Queer” and “Super Queer.” Some clothes in the collection are marketed toward children and babies.

“The department store is featuring onesies and shirts reading ‘Bien Proud!’ in the colors of the ‘Progress Pride’ flag, which contains additional colors for minorities and transgender individuals,” the outlet wrote. Even pets are included in the collection with “Pride tanks tops for cats and dogs, bandanas [and pet] toys.”

The LGBT-themed products at Target include Pride accessories designed by the London-based Abprallen. The design company known for its occult and satanic merchandise has become the target of push back from outraged Americans.

The aforementioned products had been on store shelves since early May, way ahead of Pride celebrations in June.  

Americans incensed with the LGBT agenda made their wallets do the talking for them, launching boycotts against the big-box retailer for pivoting to the gay and groomer agenda. Others were more vocal, however, with some confronting store workers and tipping over displays.

Target later announced it was removing some items from its stores and making other changes to its pride merchandise nationwide. While it declined to specify particular items to be removed, one item that garnered much attention were the “tuck-friendly” women’s swimsuits. Marketed for male-to-female transgenders who had not yet undergone surgical castration, these swimsuits allowed them to conceal their penises.

to the Hearing: 

Missouri v. Biden

Missouri v. Biden was filed on May 5, 2022. Since it was initially filed, it has taken quite a trip through the court system. The complaint has been amended 3 times, with the most recent Amendment being to transform the case into a class suit – due to the overwhelming evidence of broad harm to the constitutional rights of all Americans. The complaint alleged that the US Government was not only threatening and coercing social media companies to censor Americans on social media, but they were also working WITH social media companies to accomplish that goal.

It alleged that topics surrounding COVID-19, the origins of COVID, the Great Barrington Declaration, election integrity concerns, the COVID shot, the Hunter Biden laptop story (and more) were under scrutiny by the White House and other government agencies – and that the government had very publicly threatened to take action against social media companies should they not act to censor viewpoints on those topics that were disfavored by the government.

The Plaintiffs in the case (the states of Missouri and Louisiana, along with several other private plaintiffs) moved for expedited discovery to be able to obtain a limited set of evidence as well as depositions of certain officials. They argued that this evidence would allow them to make the case for a temporary injunction to stop the government from infringing on the first amendment rights of Plaintiffs and their citizens.

Unlike what many have come to expect, the judge GRANTED the motion for expedited discovery and depositions. A struggle ensued between the Government and the Plaintiffs, with the government fighting against the judge in this case (Judge Terry Doughty) to stop discovery and certain plaintiffs from being deposed. They took those complaints to the 5th Circuit of Appeals and a court in Virginia – a court that *usually* is friendly to the government.

At the appellate court level, the government argued that NO ONE should have to leave their government jobs to sit for lengthy depositions in this case, but certainly not the HEAD of CISA, for example.

The appellate court wouldn’t play ball with the government and remanded the case back to Louisiana with some guidance on how the judge should proceed. If memory serves me right, this happened three times.

One particularly interesting exchange came with the deposition of former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. She made threats to social media companies from the podium. They sought to depose her about those threats. She left the office. The government said they had no responsive documents to explain her comments. So, Missouri and Louisiana said, “Then we have to depose Jen Psaki.”

The court agreed and ruled that now private citizen Psaki needed to testify. The government and Psaki- represented by Rhee – went to a court in Virginia to try to get THAT judge to stop the deposition. The judge, in that case, laid into both the government and Psaki. It was so stunning I literally read the transcript of the hearing as its own video.

This went back to Louisiana after the Virginia judge said, “You won’t like how I rule on this, and your argument is terrible, so I’m sending it back to the judge who SHOULD be making this decision. The judge in Louisiana again decided Psaki should be deposed IF the government didn’t have any responsive docs from the press office. Somehow, those docs must’ve appeared.

All along the way, the government has lost- over and over again. They were also caught hiding discovery materials – the judge rapped them and ordered them to produce or else – which they did.

Lululemon Employees Say They Were Fired for Calling 911 on Looters Ransacking Store (VIDEO)

Metro Atlanta Lululemon employees claim they were fired for calling the police on looters ransacking the store.

Earlier this week, a mob looted a Lululemon in Peachtree Corners and took off with stolen merchandise.  According to one of the fired employees, the same group of masked burglars had targeted the Lululemon store for weeks as horrified employees watched in silence.

After several robberies, the employees decided to call the police – and they were promptly fired for violating the company’s policy of not interfering with a burglary.

“Approximately two weeks ago, my wife was terminated from her job at Lululemon for ‘breaking employee handbook policy’ of not interfering with a burglary. Lululemon representatives held a zoom call a few days after the incident to learn what Jenn knew about the policy. Then, a few days later, they scheduled a follow-up zoom call where they terminated her citing the company’s “zero tolerance policy” in these situations. No warning. No coaching. No additional training. Just. Fired. Georgia being an at-will employment state, employers can do that whenever they wish. That is their right. But it doesn’t make it right. Especially in this situation.” a husband of one of the fired employees said in a Facebook post.

Two metro Atlanta women say they were fired from the Lululemon in Peachtree Corners for calling the police to report a robbery.

Jennifer Ferguson was the assistant manager at the time.

“All of a sudden we see some gentlemen run into the store in masks and hoodies,” Ferguson said, “They swiped until they couldn’t hold any more product and ran out the door.”

Rachel Rogers was a key leader at the time. She caught the robbery on camera.

“We didn’t really feel very protected or know what else to do,” Rogers said.

 Lindsay Graham Meets with Zelensky - Says Ukraine War 'Best Money We've Ever Spent'

Lindsay Graham, a remnant of the Bush era Neocon fold, has been a busy bee in the past year.  He has visited Ukraine at least three times since the war with Russia began, called for the assassination of Vladimir Putin, called for the US to directly attack Russian planes, and he's even demanded that the US put troops on the ground in Taiwan to fight the Chinese.  It just goes to show that there are certainly a number of politicians that identify as GOP Republicans that do not represent the will of most conservatives and moderates.

Graham's latest visit with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky has been broadly publicized.  Andriy Yermak, the head of the president’s office, released footage of the meeting, intercut with dramatic piano music for effect:

The notion of "bi-partisan support" is broached with Graham applauding, saying that US efforts in Ukraine are "The best money we've ever spent."  Congress approved over $113 billion in funds to Ukraine in 2022 alone, and around 60% of that was directed into Ukraine's military.   

Zelensky once again asked for long range weapons and air defense systems at the meeting, which might indicate that Russian missile and drone bombardment has been more effective than the Ukrainians have been admitting.  The recent destruction of a Patriot missile battery in Kiev suggests that current air defenses are not adequate to counter Russian hypersonic weapons.

Two transgender (biological males) high school track runners withdrew from the State Track and Field Championships on Friday following major backlash.

Athena Ryan and Lorelei Barrett were a no-show at Friday’s scheduled meet at Buchanan High in Clovis, California, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Last weekend a biological male athlete took home second place at a high school track and field competition in California.

Athena Ryan, a junior from Sonoma Academy (bio male), took the silver medal in the varsity girls’ 1,600-meter run during the North Coast Meet of Champions of California finals last Saturday.

Republican Leads Democrats in Race for Dianne Feinsteins Senate Seat: Poll

Democrats have been pressing the aged Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California to retire before her term officially expires in January 2025, especially after her return to the chamber earlier in May following a months-long absence while she battled shingles.

Feinstein needed to be assisted into the chamber in a wheelchair and looked visibly weak and frail, with one eye nearly closed. Subsequent reports said that her condition was worse than previously reported. But she has steadfastly refused to step down.

Now, Democrats are getting more bad news: A Republican candidate vying for her seat is currently leading other Democrats either in the race to succeed Feinstein or who have reportedly expressed an interest in running for it.

Drone footage shows tremendous devastation of Bakhmut

A drone recorded a video flying over the devastated city of Bakhmut (Artemovsk). The video was posted on RIA Novosti Telegram channel.

The video starts when the drone was flying over railway tracks. It then flies near the Ferris wheel and the Church of All Saints in the city centre. The footage clearly shows the scale of devastation in the city after man months of fierce battles.

The battle for Bakhmut (the Russian name of the city is Artemovsk) is one of the longest since the beginning of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. On May 20, private military company Wagner took the city under full control. Units of the Russian Armed Forces prepare for defense in the city as the Ukrainian command plans to launch a large-scale counteroffensive.

San Francisco’s Streets Are Filthy. A New Survey Shows Just How Dirty

From sidewalk feces to overflowing trash cans, San Franciscans have long complained about how dirty the city is. And now we have official confirmation from City Hall. The Controller’s Office released a report Monday telling many city residents what they already knew: San Francisco is a pretty dirty place. 

Its conclusions? Commercial corridors throughout Downtown San Francisco struggle more with cleanliness than do residential streets. And hard-hit areas of Downtown deal with significantly higher amounts of street litter and other cleanliness issues than in wealthier neighborhoods like Noe Valley. 

Titled “Street & Sidewalk Maintenance Standards,” the survey also showed that the lack of cleanliness is, in many ways, a citywide problem, but certain neighborhoods face unique problems—such as illegal dumping or sidewalk damage—that don’t hit other areas as hard.

To compile it, officials evaluated some 3,000 residential streets and commercial corridors over 2021-22, as mandated by the city services auditor. They deployed two surveys: The Core Citywide Survey, which analyzed “street segments”—bureaucratese for short, residential streets—and the Key Commercial Areas Survey, which looked at busy commercial corridors, mostly located in and around Downtown. 

Evaluations included rates of litter, graffiti, broken glass, maintenance and other street and sidewalk conditions.

If you’re walking in one of San Francisco’s many commercial corridors, you’re much more likely to come across litter, graffiti, poop or broken glass—at least, that’s what the survey shows.

Stewart Rhodes, founder of the right-wing militia group Oath Keepers, was sentenced to 18 years in prison and 3 years of supervised release Thursday after being convicted of seditious conspiracy in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol attack. It's the first sentence passed down to a person found guilty of the rare, Civil War-era charge linked to the riot.

In remarks Thursday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Kathryn Rakoczy said Rhodes "doggedly drilled" President Donald Trump's false claims of election fraud into his followers' minds and advocated for the former president to invoke the Insurrection Act, which would give him the authority to call on the military and National Guard forces to suppress an insurrection.

"It is necessary for this court, through its sentence, to say that no American citizen can impose by force their version of the law," she said.

During the trial, prosecutors described Rhodes as the "orchestrator of this conspiracy and the architect of the plan." They emphasized evidence that Rhodes coordinated Oath Keepers in several states to converge on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. That day, he was a "general overlooking a battlefield while his troops stormed inside," prosecutors argued.

SENATORS ISSUED SATELLITE PHONES, OFFERED DEMONSTRATIONS ON UPGRADED SECURITY DEVICE

Amid growing concerns of security risks to members of Congress, over 50 senators have been issued satellite phones for emergency communication, people familiar with the measures told CBS News. The devices are part of a series of new security measures being offered to senators by the Senate Sergeant at Arms, who took over shortly after the assault on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

The satellite phone technology has been offered to all 100 senators. CBS News has learned at least 50 have accepted the phones, which Senate administrative staff recommend senators keep in close proximity during their travels. 

In testimony before the Senate Appropriations Committee last month, Senate Sergeant at Arms Karen Gibson said satellite communication is being deployed "to ensure a redundant and secure means of communication during a disruptive event."  

Gibson said the phones are a security backstop in the case of an emergency that "takes out communications" in part of America. Federal funding will pay for the satellite airtime needed to utilize the phone devices.

Dr. Rashid Buttar was one of the most prolific purveyors of conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and the vaccine. His outlandish claims, such as that everyone who took the vaccine will die by 2025, and large online following, earned Buttar a spot on the Center for Countering Digital Hate’s “Disinformation Dozen,” a list of 12 influencers responsible for nearly two-thirds of anti-vax content on social media.

Buttar passed away unexpectedly on May 18. He was 57.

Buttar once said that he would sooner take a bullet to the head than get vaccinated for COVID. Anti-vax conspiracy theorists are nevertheless blaming the vaccine for his death. They believe he was poisoned with the vaccine after he was interviewed by CNN last year.

Last week, Buttar said he had been hospitalized with an unspecified condition a few months ago. He blamed the COVID vaccine.

“I had been poisoned with 200 times the amount that’s in the vaccinations,” he said. “…I was actually intentionally poisoned and part of it was right […] after that CNN interview.”

Buttar did not explain how he was supposedly poisoned by the vaccine, which is currently only approved in injectable form. (Oral vaccines are in development.)

 New York City is having a bit of trouble with repeat retail crime offenders, but Mayor Eric Adams’ latest soft-on-crime approach to solving the problem is downright laughable.

Per Fox 5, retail theft in general jumped 44% in 2022 in NYC. The crisis is so bad that Adams even mandated that masks should be taken off to enter stores — the opposite of the COVID days — to help reduce this sort of crime.

It apparently didn’t work because now he has a new plan, one that he says is top-notch.

“Last year alone, 327 repeat offenders were responsible for 30 percent of the more than 22,000 retail thefts across our city,”

Adams said this week. “This hurt our businesses, our workers, our customers, and our city.”

That’s putting it mildly, Adams, but let’s hear what this plan does.

“This plan will help us invest in diversion programs and in underlying factors leading to retail theft, work upstream to stop some of the factors leading to a crime before one takes place, trains retail workers in de-escalation tactics and security best practices and takes numerous actions to increase necessary enforcement against repeat shoplifters and deter organized crime rings perpetrating these thefts,” he said.

Her death marks the second time a child migrant from Latin America has died in U.S. government custody in two weeks. Arizona Gov. Hobbs Vetoes Six More Republican Bills

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs (D) announced Wednesday that she had made decisions regarding another batch of bills sent to her desk by the legislature.

Of these nine bills, Hobbs vetoed six, including bills on natural resource conservation, modified firearms, and the voting equipment used in state elections.

Regarding the election equipment, HB 2613, sponsored by State Representative Steve Montenegro (R-Goodyear), would have required all vote recording and tabulation machines used in Arizona elections to be 100 percent manufactured in the U.S. and have all parts sourced in the country. Starting in 2028, the Arizona Secretary of State would be prohibited from certifying any election results from a machine that did not comply with the law.

However, Hobbs wrote that this bill would ultimately have a “catastrophic” effect on Arizona by making it near impossible for the state to carry out elections.

House Passes Bill to Deport Illegal Immigrants Who Assault Police

House Republicans on Wednesday passed two new bills in observance of National Police Week, including one aimed at illegal immigrants.

According to The Epoch Times, HR 2494 requires that illegal immigrants who assault police officers are automatically deportable, while HR 3091 authorizes retired federal law enforcement officials to buy surplus weapons being sold by the federal government.

Not surprisingly, Democrats opposed both measures, the outlet noted.

Committee Chairmen Threaten Subpoenas over Hunter Biden Laptop Letter

Two committee chairmen in the House of Representatives have threatened to issue subpoenas to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) if it does not hand over documents relating to the letter by over 50 former “intelligence experts” denouncing Hunter Biden’s laptop as “Russian disinformation.”

According to The Hill, Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) of the House Judiciary Committee and Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) of the House Intelligence Committee wrote a letter on Wednesday to CIA Director William Burns, giving him a deadline of May 30th to hand over the necessary documents.

“If the CIA does not produce all responsive documents,” the letter reads in part, “the Committees may resort to compulsory process.”

Over $38M in Pandemic Relief Aid Sent to Dead People

A new study by the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee (PRAC) claims that at least $38 million in pandemic relief loans were sent to dead recipients through the use of incorrect Social Security numbers.

As reported by Just The News, the fraudulent loans in question were made through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) as well as the COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. Michael Horowitz, the chairman of PRAC, first testified before the U.S. House in February that PRAC had identified at least 69,000 suspicious Social Security Numbers (SSNs), which had been used to obtain $5.4 billion in relief funds. Another 175,000 suspicious SSNs were used in applications, but ultimately never received any money.

Elon Musk Is Right About White-on-Black Crime

Elon Musk recently commented on a compelling editorial cartoon, produced by someone with the Twitter handle “End Wokeness,” that highlights vital crime statistics. The cartoon features a chart showing the number of interracial violent crime incidents by race, based on numbers from the Bureau of Justice Statistics. It shows that the number of black-on-white crimes is nine times higher than the number of white-on-black crimes, yet a news media cameraman has zoomed in on the white-on-black number so that it’s the only thing TV viewers can see. 

In response, Musk wrote: “Odd, why would the media misrepresent the real situation to such an extreme degree?”

Of course, the answer is that the media is determined to portray America as “systemically racist.” Sure enough, the response from the Left is that Musk is “racist” for drawing attention to such a “misleading” cartoon.

Two Pentagon doctors published a paper in May of 2020 criticizing the Nature article that concluded that Covid did not come from a lab. In March, we learned from Senate hearings that Dr. Fauci and his colleagues worked on that paper and proposed edits to it in order to prevent the public from learning about U.S. involvement in foreign biolabs.

The Pentagon paper shows that that article is based on conjecture and not science.

Big Pharmas Rampant Corporate Lawlessness Cost Americans $40 Billion in 2019: Report

The U.S. pharmaceutical industry’s aggressive and often unlawful efforts to prevent competition and keep drug prices elevated cost American patients, insurers, and federal health programs more than $40 billion in 2019 alone, according to a report released Tuesday.

The new report—put out by the American Economic Liberties Project and the Initiative for Medicines, Access, and Knowledge (I-MAK)—focuses specifically on pharmaceutical companies’ antitrust law violations, which the groups say are a key reason why U.S. drug prices are astonishingly high compared to those of other rich nations.

Examining the 100 top-selling drug products in Medicare Part D—which covers prescription medicines—and Medicaid, the report estimates that Big Pharma’s antitrust violations “increased Part D gross spending by 14.15%, or $14.82 billion, and increased Medicaid gross drug spending by 9.05%, or $3.15 billion, in 2019 for the top 100 drugs in each.”

The UK government has begun testing for asymptomatic bird flu. Two people who worked in poultry farms have tested positive.

The government says that bird flu contamination can come from “the nose and throat from breathing in material on the affected farm or can be true infection. It can be difficult to distinguish these in people who have no symptoms.”

There is no evidence that there has been human-to-human contamination.

Stipulated Order Proving CDC Has No Studies To Support Claim That Vaccines Given in First 6 Months of Life Do Not Cause Autism

In the summer of 2019, ICAN submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the CDC requesting “All studies relied upon by CDC to claim that the DTaP vaccine does not cause autism.”

ICAN also submitted this same request for HepB, Hib, PCV13, and IPV, as well as requesting the CDC provide studies to support the cumulative exposure to these vaccines during the first six months of life do not cause autism.

Despite months of demands, the CDC failed to produce a single specific study in response to these FOIA requests.

ICAN was therefore forced to sue the CDC in federal court, where the CDC finally conceded, in a stipulation signed by a Federal court judge, that that it has no studies to support that any of these vaccines do not cause autism.

Top House Republican To Hit Secretary of State Blinken With Contempt Charge

Texas Republican Rep. Michael McCaul is planning to file contempt of Congress charges against Secretary of State Antony Blinken this month after the top Biden administration official has refused to comply with a series of subpoenas.

McCaul, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee, has attempted to have Blinken come before the committee numerous times. Now, the top Republican says he plans to introduce the contempt charge on May 24. It will then likely move to the House floor for a full vote by early June.

“I don’t take this lightly because a secretary of State’s never been held in contempt by Congress before,” McCaul told Fox News Monday evening. “And I think the secretary realizes that and the gravity. They probably prefer not to go down this route as well. But if they do not comply, we’re prepared to move forward next week with markup for resolution of contempt.”

Evansville Police are releasing more details about the Eastland Mall shooting scare that sent hundreds into a panic over the weekend.

According to an affidavit, it all started when four to six males wearing hoodies and ski masks approached several victims inside the mall and started a fight. At some point during the altercation, someone allegedly claimed they had been shot. Although no shots were actually fired, this triggered a mass exodus from people inside.

A federal grand jury has expanded its criminal corruption probe, issuing new subpoenas in the investigation involving a leading U.S. Senate Democrat, according to NBC News.

An investigation into Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey has now expanded to include North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco, another influential politician in New Jersey, the outlet reported.

A spokesperson for North Bergen told NBC News: “As they always have, Mayor Sacco and the Township of North Bergen will comply with any inquiry they receive from law enforcement and will cooperate fully.”

Ukraine neighbor disputes pro-Russian election result – media

Moldova’s autonomous region of Gagauzia has voted in a new governor.

Moldovan police raided the central election commission of Gagauzia on Tuesday, alleging irregularities after a politician championing better relations with Russia won the gubernatorial vote.

Gagauzia, an autonomous region in southern Moldova, elects its own bashkan – governor – and Sunday’s run-off saw the victory of Yevgenia Gutsul, with 52.36% of the vote. Gutsul represents the Shor party, which the government in Chisinau has tried to ban.

The operation at the election office in Comrat was “part of a criminal investigation into bribing of voters,” a spokesperson for the National Anti-Corruption Center (NAC) in Chisinau said in a statement. The NAC had executed search warrants for eight individuals on Saturday, just before the election, alleging that Shor had offered bribes of 15,000 lei ($3,200) each to some 30 voters. No arrests were made.

On Tuesday, NAC officials and police reportedly sought to confiscate the ballots from Sunday’s election. The Gagauzian election commission told them the ballots had already been forwarded to the court in Comrat, in charge of verifying the results. According to local media outlets, commissioners were told to report for interrogation on May 18.

Canadian anti-capitalist cafe with 'pay what you can' model shutting down after one year.

The Anarchist in Toronto previously described itself as an 'anti-capitalist, anti-colonial cafe,

shop and radical community space on stolen land.'

An anti-capitalist coffee shop in Canada is closing after a year in business, its owner announced, citing "the lack of generational wealth/seed capital from ethically bankrupt sources" as the reason for being unable to continue to operate the business. 

The Toronto cafe, The Anarchist, opened in March 2022 and previously described itself as an "anti-capitalist, anti-colonial cafe, shop and radical community space on stolen land," BlogTO reported. It will close its doors on May 30.

"It's been an amazing experience, connecting with so many great community members, sparking desperately needed debate, raising the blood pressure of Conservatives (that includes you, "anarcho-capitalists" and "Libertarians"), fulfilling the dream of most service workers by not having to tolerate the presence of professional class-traitors (pigs and military), and experimenting with living and working in ways that don't enthusiastically embrace the pure misanthropy of Capitalism," shop owner Gabriel Sims-Fewer wrote on the cafe website to announce the closing. 

"Unfortunately, the lack of generational wealth/seed capital from ethically bankrupt sources left me unable to weather the quiet winter season, or to grow in the ways needed to be sustainable longer-term," he added. 

In an effort to make coffee accessible to everyone and to enforce the idea that the enterprise is not a capitalist venture, the shop had a "pay what you can" model that was subsidized by pricier drinks, according to the cafe website. 

Family pursues legal action against school after it ‘censored’ son for ‘There are only two genders' shirt

The Morrison family is preparing to file a lawsuit against Nichols Middle School (NMS) for allegedly violating their son Liam’s First Amendment rights after he was told in late March to take off a shirt that said, "There are only two genders."

Attorneys on behalf of NMS informed the Massachusetts Family Institute (MFI), the organization representing the Morrison family, last week that it would continue to prohibit Liam from wearing the shirt to school after he told them he was planning on wearing it again on May 5. 

The 7th grader wore a "There are censored genders" T-shirt to school in response but was told to take it off almost immediately after school started.
